Children are welcome at the 10.30 Eucharist, which is held at Lastingham and Rosedale.  
(They are also welcome at other services!)

In these two churches there is a range of attractive books suitable for children - and adults - of all ages.  There is also a table at the back of each of these churches with colouring sheets and crayon, where children may sit and colour during services and at other times.      

There is a Children's Mass at Rosedale on the first Friday of the month at 9.30 am. 

At Appleton and Rosedale children have played a part in the 10.30 Eucharist by ringing bells and serving at the altar. 

Children over the age of seven (and others) who are regular worshippers may, after some preparation, receive Holy Communion before Confirmation.

There is scope for anyone who feels able to develop work with children. Perhaps there could be a new emphasis on music and drama.
